Bryson DeChambeau is a two-time U.S. Open champion who plays on LIV Golf. To a lot of younger golf fans, he's also a YouTuber first.

The format

Break 50 is simple: DeChambeau and a guest try to shoot under 50, usually playing a scramble. Anyone can follow the scoring, and every shot matters.

The guests do the rest. He has played with Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia, John Daly, Tom Brady, Chris Pratt and Steph Curry. His episode with Donald Trump during the 2024 election campaign passed 13 million views, and he gained more than 400,000 subscribers that month.

Why it works

He treats the channel as a production, not a vlog. Golf.com's breakdown last year pointed to multiple high-quality cameras, drones and proper graphics, and to small details like not starting a conversation until the golf cart has stopped, so the audio is clean. By late 2025 the channel had around 2.5 million subscribers.

What it means for the rest

Grant Horvat said it plainly: the concept is great, and DeChambeau can land those guests because of who he is. Most creators can't do that. What they can copy is the discipline: one clear idea, done properly every week.
