The PGA Tour's Creator Classic started as an experiment: 16 golf creators playing eight holes on the back nine at East Lake, on the eve of the Tour Championship. Four editions later, its winners are the core of creator golf's newest competition.
| Edition | Where | When | Winner |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | East Lake | Aug 2024 | Luke Kwon |
| 2 | TPC Sawgrass | Mar 2025 | Grant Horvat |
| 3 | Philadelphia Cricket Club | May 2025 | Josh Richards, Erik Anders Lang, Brad Dalke |
| 4 | East Lake | Aug 2025 | Brad Dalke |
The format
At East Lake, the field played eight holes of stroke play on the back nine and the top four went to a sudden-death playoff on the 18th. Kwon won the first one with a 12-foot birdie in the playoff. The Philadelphia edition used three-player teams in alternate shot.
Where they are now
Kwon plays for Team Grant on Your Golf Tour. Horvat co-founded the tour with the Bryan Bros. Dalke is one of its four captains, and his team won the first stop.
That is the pattern. The Creator Classic showed that creators could play serious golf under pressure in front of a big audience. The creators who proved it went and built something of their own.
