Your Golf Tour, the creator-led circuit organized by Grant Horvat and George and Wesley Bryan, has its first winner. Team Brad, captained by Brad Dalke, won the opening stop at FarmLinks at Pursell Farms in Sylacauga, Alabama.
- Team Brad $250,000
- Team Wesley $175,000
- Team Grant $50,000
- Team George $25,000
How it played out
The stop went out as three videos on three channels. Round 1, on Grant Horvat Golf, revealed the season draft and each team's first wildcard. After a front-nine scramble, Team Brad and Team Wesley were tied on 14 under, with Team Grant on 13 under and Team George on 10 under.
Round 2, on Bryan Bros Golf, was alternate shot, and it knocked out Team Grant and Team George. The finale, on the YGT channel, came down to five 1v1 matches, and Team Brad won it.
The format
Four captains lead 16 permanent players. The captains drafted their core players, and every team adds a wildcard at each stop. The regular-season events are team events, and the season ends with a stroke-play championship at Wynn Golf Club in Las Vegas.
Pursell Farms was the obvious opener. It is close to home for YouTube golf: Garrett Clark, Micah Morris and the Bryans filmed some of their earliest videos there.
Every round is free on YouTube, with no broadcast deal and no paywall. That is the bet: a tour built entirely around channels its players already own.
