Tom Kim's last PGA Tour win came 1,001 days before Sunday. He ended the wait at The Renaissance Club with a bogey-free 64, which took him to 17 under and the Genesis Scottish Open title.

Min Woo Lee was the only player close enough to make it interesting. Two behind on the 18th, a 480-yard par 4, he needed an eagle. It didn't come, and he finished alone in second.

Four players shared third on 13 under: Matt Fitzpatrick, Johnny Keefer, 2024 champion Robert MacIntyre and Keita Nakajima.

Why it matters for Kim

He arrived in North Berwick 58th in the FedEx Cup and 66th in the world, and he hadn't qualified for this season's Signature Events. The win moves him to 32nd in the FedEx Cup and back inside the world's top 35. It also extends his Tour exemption through 2028.

The signs were there. Kim finished alone in third at the U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills last month, and The Renaissance Club has always suited him: third, T6, T15 and T17 in his previous four visits.

Next is The Open at Royal Birkdale, starting Thursday. Kim goes there in his best form for two years.
